Established in 2017, Garden Regeneration is a female-owned gardening business based in Mid Sussex, rooted in the long-term restoration and care of gardens. I place great value not only on the needs and vision of each client but also on the health of the plants, soil, landscape, and surrounding wildlife.

My approach is guided by a naturalistic style—grounded, and in touch with nature—yet balanced by a perfectionist’s eye for detail. Naturalistic, yet neat and tidy! Planting design is often integral to my work, with a strong emphasis on improving and enriching the soil.

Professionally accredited with RHS Level 2 horticultural qualifications from Plumpton College, I am committed to continual learning through experience and further training. My particular passions include permaculture, soil science, composting, fruit tree care, propagation, climbers and vines, and gardening for wellbeing.

As a self-employed gardener, I usually work independently—this gives me the focus and space to do my best work. That said, I’m always open to collaborative projects and believe that great gardens often grow from great teamwork. I’m an active member of both The Gardeners Guild and a supportive professional women’s gardening network, where I gain fresh insight, inspiration, and business support.

My background spans work in the UK and abroad, with experience in the charitable, healthcare, and educational publishing sectors. I hold both M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons) degrees and have a broad foundation in teaching and training.

Therapeutic horticulture and gardening for wellbeing

If you or someone you know could benefit from the social and therapeutic aspects of gardening, I also offer one-to-one sessions as a therapeutic horticulture practitioner. These sessions are tailored to support wellbeing through meaningful connection with plants, soil, and the rhythms of nature.

I have experience working with individuals who are neurodivergent or living with anxiety, depression, learning disabilities or complex needs. I’m currently an Approved Therapist with Southdown in Brighton and have completed specialist training with Thrive, supported by a grant from the Finnis Scott Foundation, managed by the Professional Gardeners’ Trust. I have also volunteered at the Halland and East Hoathly Community Garden, where the healing power of gardening in action is truly witnessed.

If you’re interested in this part of my work, I’d be happy to share my full CV and have an informal conversation to explore whether it might be the right fit.
