Our service is based on a consistent 12-month plan, ensuring your garden receives year-round care. Each plan includes regular visits with agreed hours tailored to both the growing and dormant seasons. This arrangement aims to support both gardener and customer through all seasons.
- The number of hours per month can be customised to suit your garden’s needs.
- During the dormant season, the service continues (with an honest appraisal of how much work may be required) but hours will usually be reduced (e.g. by 25-50%)
This steady, year-round approach ensures continuity of care for the garden and provides a predictable, manageable schedule for both client and gardener.
Benefits of a Year-round Garden Maintenance Plan:
- Priority Scheduling – Year-round clients are prioritised over seasonal requests, ensuring reliable, timely care. 🌹
- Fixed, Transparent Rates – Allows you to know the budget for the entire year. 🌹
- Discounted Rates – From January to April, you will avoid the annual rate increase (for year-round clients only). 🌹
- 50% Off Holiday Watering – Summer is a popular time to go away, but it can be stressful thinking about your beloved plants whilst on holiday. We are absolutely happy to water while you’re away, and it’s half price for year-round clients (within Lindfield/Haywards Heath only). 🌹
- Organic compost or mulch delivery –arranged for you in winter (if required) and spread on the beds across two or three consecutive visits. 🌹
- Year-Round, Proactive, Ongoing Care – Prevents problems before they arise, reducing the need for reactive, intensive work and last minute concerns when a gardener has limited availability. 🌹
- Consistent, Trust-Based Service – Builds a reliable, trusting relationship with a gardener who knows your garden well. 🌹
- No contract or hidden fees – No ‘membership fees’, you just pay as you would, on a monthly basis, for the gardening itself. 🌹
- Peace of Mind – For you and the gardener. Enjoy the reassurance that your garden is in good hands, all year round, and never underestimate the appreciation we hold for you in keeping a good gardener in steady work. 🌹
Winter-based tasks
In winter months tasks can include hedge cutting, pruning late-flowering shrubs and trees, preparing beds including vegetable plots, dividing, transplanting, designing, planting, clearing, weeding including problem areas, propagating, seasonal container planting, cleaning patios, decking outdoor Christmas lights, mulching and improving soil. For the experienced, trained, intuitive, professional gardener there is always something to do and a collaborative approach is welcomed.
